Cookie policy
We use the smallest possible amount of browser storage. Nothing that is not strictly necessary runs until you say yes.
Do you need to consent?
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, consent is the default basis for processing personal data, and it has to be specific, informed and easy to withdraw. Analytics and advertising cookies are not necessary to make the site work, so we ask first. The strictly necessary ones are used to keep you logged in and keep the site secure, and the site cannot function without them.
What we use
| Type | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in, remembers your cookie choice, keeps an ad you have not finished on this device until you publish it, remembers locations you chose to save, protects forms from abuse | No |
| Preferences | Remembers light or dark mode, text size and how you like the homepage laid out | Yes |
| Analytics | Counts page views and where visitors come from, so we know what to fix | Yes |
| Advertising | We do not use any. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no retargeting. | None |
Changing your mind
Use the cookie settings link at any time, or clear cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If you add tracking later
Note for whoever maintains this site: the moment you add Google Analytics, Google
Tag Manager, a Meta pixel or any similar tag, it must not load until the visitor has accepted the analytics
or advertising category. Firing a tag before consent is the most common way a UAE site falls foul of the
PDPL, and this table must be updated to list every cookie the tag sets.
